PG Instruments Limited is a British company that has for many years manufactured a comprehensive range of UV-Visible Spectrophotometers and Atomic Absorption Spectrometers.

Now part of the Aqualabo group, SECOMAM’s international presence allows it to offer high end instrumentation at a competitive price along with a proven customer support essential in markets such as teaching, health, environment, industry, research and agro-food.

Jenway offer four ranges of visible and UV/visible spectrophotometers which have been designed to suit a wide range of budgets, industries and applications. The range include single beam entry level spectrophotometers, split-beam spectrophotometers with a spectral bandwidth of 1.5nm; and advanced variable double beam spectrophotometers with a spectral bandwidth down to 0.5nm.

PG Instruments T60U


The T60 is a high performance compact split beam spectrophotometer with a fixed 2nm spectral bandwidth. The T60U (UV-Visible) has a wavelength range of 190 -1100nm. The instrument has a switched mode power supply accepting voltages in the range of 95 - 240V AC and is supplied with either universal pathlength 5 cell changer or fixed path length 8 cell changer as standard.     PG Instruments T60V

    PG Instruments C30 Portable


    The C30 Portable Spectrometer is a compact portable instrument based on advanced CCD detection technology.
    The C30 Portable Spectrometer is a compact portable instrument based on advanced CCD detection technology. Whilst being highly compact the instrument boasts all of the features of a conventional bench-top Spectrophotometer including Spectrum Scanning, Photometric, Quantitative and Kinetic Methods. A Windows CE embedded operating system and touch screen TFT interface allow for ease of use and extensive data storage. Field measurement data can be transferred from internal instrument storage to a PC via USB connection and the C30 Data Viewer Software which offers an extensive tool set for data interpretation and reporting. The C30 Spectrometer is supplied with a rugged carry case and a wide range of accessories suited to your sampling requirements.

    Windows CE Based Operating System with 320 x 240 touch screen TFT Interface.

    Use the Quantitative workspace to construct calibration curves, and measure concentration of unknown samples.
    Curves can be constructed in 1st – 4th order, whilst both methods and measurement data can be saved to instrument memory.
    The Spectrum workspace allows high speed spectral scanning, with zoom and peak identification tools. Spectral Scans can be performed in the field, stored to instrument memory and later transferred to the C30 Data Viewer Software for further inspection and reporting.

    Use the Photometric workspace to quickly and easily perform fixed wavelength measurements in either Absorbance or Transmission. Set a K factor where multiplications are required to determine sample concentration. Once the measurement is complete store to instrument memory for future recall. The Kinetic workspace enables the measurement of Absorbance or Transmission as a function of time. Use the zoom and peak pick features to obtain a better view of the Kinetic curve. Measurement data can be saved and recalled at any time.

    User and admin rights are easily controlled from the GLP feature in the settings menu. Create user groups and specify their privilege level then add new users to a specified group.

    Use the universal cell holder to measure various pathlength rectangular cells and rounds test tubes accommodating all of your sampling requirements. Use the fibre dip probe for in-situ sample measurements.

    Once all of the required field analysis has been performed and measurement data stored to instrument memory the Spectrometer can be connected to the C30 Data Viewer Software via USB for transfer of analysis data from all of the instrument workspaces. Use the Data Viewer Software to further interpret analysis results, export data into a wide variety of formats and produce analysis reports for storage or printing.

    Uvikon XS


    The UVIKON, in combination with the easy to use Windows compatible LabPower software, supports routine and advanced applications. The UVIKON instruments offer true double-beam capability for unsurpassed performance.
    True Symmetrical Double-Beam Optics The UVIKON optical design features true symmetrical double-beam optics using a single chopper wheel and detector. The speed of rotation of the chopper wheel allows for a measurement every 10 milliseconds on both the sample and reference channels.
    This means that effectively all measurements are made in real time against the reference thus providing maximum confidence in the measured result.
    High Energy Throughput
    The UVIKON uses a high-efficiency grating designed by Zeiss for maximum energy throughput. This, combined with the specially designed high-speed grating drive motor, results in precise measured data not compromised by noise.

    The 7310 and 7315 models have enhanced security features enabling the settings and methods to be locked preventing unauthorised changes to the instrument settings and method parameters. The home page can also be customised and selected modes restricted, which is ideal for teaching laboratories. The 73 series spectrophotometers are all covered by a three year warranty which includes the xenon lamp.

    Jenway Genova Nano Micro-volume, Life Science & Standard Spectrophotometer in one


    This highly anticipated micro-volume spectrophotometer is a fusion of the high calibre Genova Plus life science spectrophotometer and Jenway's innovative micro-volume measurement accessory. Unlike any other micro-volume spectrophotometer on the market the Genova Nano can not only be used for micro-volume measurements but also temperature sensitive reactions due to its flexibility to be used with any of the accessories of Jenway's 73 series including the standard volume electronic Peltier. The Genova Nano micro-volume spectrophotometer measures small sample volumes as low as 0.5µl with a high degree of accuracy, reproducibility and speed. It has the ability to measure small sample volumes, conserves precious samples, reduces the need for dilutions and eliminates the requirement for cuvettes. Cleaning is quick and simple; wiping the read heads with a microfibre cloth removes all trace of the sample, allowing faster change over between samples and therefore increasing sample throughput.   • There are three models in the 67 series - Model 6700 covers the visible range of the spectrum and has a 4nm bandwidth; Models 6705 and 6715 cover the UV/visible range of the spectrum and have a 4nm and 1.5nm bandwidth respectively. All three instruments have modes for photometrics, spectrum scanning, multi-wavelength analysis, kinetics and quantitation, giving direct concentration results against single or multi-point calibrations. With extensive post measurement tools to ensure results are presented exactly to each users requirements the 67 series spectrophotometers also offer significant advances in data portability.

    Together, the touch screen and colour display give the fastest, most flexible instrument interface possible. Where fine cursor control is required, using the QWheel makes the task easy and precise.

    Jenway have developed Secure Multi User Operation for when instruments are shared by a number of users, so access to the instrument functions is controlled through a secure log-in procedure. For maximum security PIN codes can be allocated to individuals, groups or departments and to further increase flexibility each method can be given three levels of security:

  • Public access is free to all users.
  • Read only methods can be accessed by all users, but only modified by the originator.
  • Personal method can only be accessed by the logged in user

  • The high capacity internal memory of the 67 series enables over 500 methods and results to be stored. Removable SD cards further increases the flexibility and data transfer and enables the direct transfer of results to a PC via a USB port. Here all data can be viewed, exported, saved or printed for generating reports and standard operating procedures. Copying the SD card to the instrument's internal memory enables the easy cloning of multiple instruments, ensuring common laboratory practice and speeding set-up in busy teaching establishments.
