    Welch | Diaphragm Pumps

    Welch diaphragm pumps have been developed specifically to meet the requirement for oil-free vacuum generation. Their low weight and excellent ergonomics, make Welch diaphragm pumps the first choice for most laboratory applications. With ultimate vacuum from 75 to 1 mbar and peak flow rates up to 138 l/min there is a specific model configuration to suit almost all applications. Our proven diaphragm technology offers a double benefit to the user – outstanding diaphragm life and market leading cost of ownership. Use MP models for standard duty applications and MPC models for chemical duty applications. The MPC models use PTFE and other fluorinated plastics for the wetted parts to allow aggressive solvent and acid vapours to be pumped. For extra harsh chemical vapours use X2 versions. Ecoflex versions with variable speed motors are also available.

  • WOB-L® Pumps for filtration & desiccation
    Vacuum and pressure filtration is widely used for sample preparation in life science, environmental & water analysis. Filtration rates are greatly enhanced by creating a differential pressure across the filter unit by applying either vacuum or pressure.

    Ideal for filtering aqueous solutions / buffers
    Standard duty dry piston pumps for filtration are effective for filtering aqueous solutions that are not strongly acidic or basic. This competiticely priced pump is oil-free and loaded with powerful features for filtration; vacuum and pressure adjustments with gauges, liquid traps at inlet & outlet, liquid shutoff at inlet and noise reduction. The WOB-L® 2522C-02 model can be used for filtration setups of 1 to 2 funnels. It’s design incorporates powerful features to make filtration safe and simple, such as the vacuum and pressure regulators which permit instant and precise control.

    Your robuust vacuum Pump

    The new CRVpro family increased reliability, robustness and longer service interval vs. other direct drive rotary vane vacuum pumps. The CRVpro family consumes up to 36% less oil than comparable pumps. Three features drive these benefits:

  • Runs 10°C cooler than comparable pumps. Slows corrosion & reduces oil consumption.
  • Has a 40% larger oil capacity than comparable pumps. Dilutes aggressive chemicals.
  • Has a chemical resistant PTFE coating in the oil case and pump module. Protects non-moving parts.


  • 7 models of the CRVpro family offer flow rates from 2.5 to 30 m3/h. Wide range of Laboratory applications such as:- Freeze driers, vacuum concentrators, vacuum ovens, mass specs and vacuum manifolds.
    COOL RUNNING
    Enhanced air flow allows pump to run 10°C cooler than standard rotary vane pumps. The lower temperature leads to reduced chemical activity within the pump and slows down rates of oil consumption.

    INTERNAL SURFACE PROTECTION
    Inside surface of the oil case has a PTFE coating and the outer surface of the pumping module has a black oxide coating. Both coatings act to slow metal corrosion and, when coupled with foreline traps, extend service interval.

    LARGE OIL CAPACITY
    Chemical vapors that sublime from the foreline cold trap into the pump oil are more diluted due to the larger oil capacity. This minimizes the rates of oil breakdown and reduce chemical attacks within the pump.

    LVS systems are specially designed for solvent distillation / evaporation applications. They comprise an oil-free chemical duty diaphragm pump with optional control packages, liquid containment and exhaust vapour condenser. All wetted parts are made from high quality chemically resistant materials with clear plastic coated glassware to allow solvent and acid vapours to be pumped.

    Welch VCpro 600 Series Vacuum Controller

    The Welch Model VCpro 601 vacuum controller measures and displays vacuum pressure both graphically and digitally. The vacuum pressure can be controlled from 1100-1 mbar (825 to 0.75 Torr). Controlling the pressure can be done in real-time.

    In addition, a timed ramp function allowing raising & lowering pressure is built in for applications such as distillation and vacuum drying. Full flexibility and repeatability is achieved easily via a programmable mode with pressure over time defined by the user. The durable, chemically resistant sensor built into the VCpro 601 vacuum controller is a ceramic thick film hybrid. The sensor reading is gas independent and gives an absolute pressure. Direct communication can be maintained between PC and controller to for logging data via RS232 or LAN.

    Model VCpro 601 controls vacuum pressure by opening and closing of a solenoid valve that is plumbed in-line between the vacuum pump and the system being evacuated. The solenoid valve is attached to the controller. This model will control vacuum pressure in your system using different types of vacuum sources such as diaphragm pumps as typically used in small rotary evaporator applications. Our application experts can assist you choosing the right solution.

    The latest innovation in the field of vacuum measurement technology is our gold Pirani sensor. The sensor has been tested on chemical resistance and functionality by independent University laboratories. The surfaces of the different wetted parts of the sensor have been specially treated, making it highly resistant to chemicals. At the same time, the sensor ensures an excellent accuracy that is consistent both in range and in time.

    Specified for Schlenkline Applications

    The combined sensor operates in the range of 1050 to 10-3 mbar. This is enabled by the combination of gold Pirani sensor with a ceramic piezo sensor. Due to its flexible use the PIZA 111 cr-gold can be adapted to any Schlenkline position. The handheld device offers a continuous check of the delivered vacuum in your application as well as a superior chemical resistance.
